This policy explains how Time Told™ Letters subscriptions work, including your billing options, renewal terms, how to cancel, and your rights under UK consumer law. Please read it carefully before subscribing.
Time Told™ Letters is a monthly snail mail subscription service. Each month, subscribers receive a typewriter-style letter from a person of an older generation, sharing a personal story, life lesson, or piece of advice, all presented on no more than four sides of A4 paper.
We offer three subscription plans. The longer the plan you choose, the lower the equivalent monthly cost. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.
| Plan | Billing Cycle | Total Charged | Monthly Equivalent | Saving vs Monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly Rolling | Every month | £11.99 | £11.99 | — |
| 6-Month Plan | Every 6 months | £65.94 | £10.99 | Save 8% |
| 12-Month Plan | Every 12 months | £119.88 | £9.99 | Save 17% |
Prices are subject to change. Any changes will be communicated to active subscribers in advance and will not take effect until your next renewal. See Section 6 for full details.
Payment is taken at the point of subscribing. For all plans, you are charged the full plan amount upfront at the start of each billing cycle, not monthly in arrears.
All subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will receive a reminder email at least 7 days before your plan is due to renew, giving you time to cancel if you do not wish to continue.
By subscribing, you authorise Time Told™ Letters to charge your chosen payment method at each renewal. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time (see Section 4).
We accept payment via Stripe. Your payment details are held securely by our payment provider and are not stored by Time Told™ Letters directly.
If a renewal payment fails, we will notify you by email and attempt to collect payment again. If payment cannot be collected after two (2) attempts, your subscription will be paused and you will not receive further letters until payment is resolved.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason. This is your statutory cooling-off period.
To cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period, you must notify us clearly before the 14 days have expired. You can do this by:
You are not required to use any particular form; any clear written statement of your intent to cancel is sufficient.
If you cancel within 14 days:
You may cancel your subscription at any time. To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must cancel before your renewal date. If you cancel after your renewal payment has been taken, your cancellation will take effect at the end of that billing period and no further renewals will occur.
Once the 14-day cooling-off period has passed, we do not offer partial refunds for unused months within a billing cycle. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the period you have paid for, after which it will not renew.
To cancel your subscription, please contact us using one of the following methods:
We aim to confirm all cancellations within 3 working days. Please retain any confirmation we send you for your records.
If you need a temporary break from your subscription, please contact us. While we cannot guarantee availability, we will do our best to accommodate a pause of up to 3 months, for 6-month subscriptions and above where possible, at our discretion.
During a pause, letters will not be dispatched and your billing cycle will not advance. Your subscription will resume at the end of the agreed pause period.
We reserve the right to change our subscription prices. If we do, we will:
Continued use of the service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
If you have purchased a subscription as a gift, the following applies:
We may update this Subscription & Cancellation Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website. Where changes are material, we will notify active subscribers by email with reasonable notice before they take effect.
